Export your Booking.com calendar: iCal sync with Terra Mia Immobiliare

Why the sync needs two directions

If you offer an apartment in Sicily on Booking.com and through Terra Mia Immobiliare at the same time, each platform has to know which days are already taken. The iCal connection therefore runs in two directions, and you set up each one once. After that, the calendars update automatically. On Booking.com, both directions are in the extranet, in your property's calendar under “Sync calendars.”

From Booking.com to Terra Mia Immobiliare

1. In the extranet, open “Rates & Availability” → “Calendar” (or “Calendar & pricing,” depending on your view) and choose “Sync calendars.”
2. Copy the export link. In the export options, select booked and closed dates.
3. In the Terra Mia Immobiliare owner area, open the listing and go to the Calendar step. In the “Calendar sync” section, choose “Add calendar,” paste the link into the “iCal URL (.ics)” field and select “Booking.com” under “Platform.”

Pay particular attention to the closed dates. If you export only the booked dates, Terra Mia Immobiliare learns nothing about the periods you block on Booking.com yourself, for example because you use the house in Sicily during that time. Booking.com does not show this section the same way in every account. If you cannot find it, Booking.com's partner support can help.

From Terra Mia Immobiliare to Booking.com

1. In the “Calendar sync” section, under “Share your availability calendar,” use “Copy” to copy your property's export link.
2. On Booking.com, import a calendar under “Sync calendars” and paste the link.

The export link contains bookings made through Terra Mia Immobiliare and the dates you block in the calendar yourself. Dates that Terra Mia Immobiliare reads from Airbnb, Booking.com or any other portal are not passed on. You can therefore add the same link to every portal, and no portal receives its own bookings back. If you later replace the address with “Regenerate address,” the old one stops working, and you enter the new one on each portal again.

Vrbo, FeWo-direkt and Google Calendar

On Vrbo and FeWo-direkt, both directions are in your property's calendar under “Import & export.” To bring dates to Terra Mia Immobiliare, choose “Export calendar,” leave out tentative reservations, copy the link and paste it with “FeWo-direkt” as the platform. In the other direction, choose “Import calendar” and paste your property's export link. Menu names can differ from account to account.

Terra Mia Immobiliare reads any calendar that provides an iCal link, meaning an address that ends in .ics. Choose “Other” as the platform. In Google Calendar, the settings list a “Secret address in iCal format.” For the other direction, add the export link under “Other calendars” → “From URL.” Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, often only after several hours.

Syncing Booking.com and Airbnb with each other

The Terra Mia Immobiliare link does not sync Airbnb and Booking.com with each other. If you want the two portals to update each other, connect them directly: add each portal's calendar link to the other as an additional calendar, in both directions. Syncing every three hours: what it means for double bookings

Terra Mia Immobiliare reads connected calendars every three hours. Booking.com decides for itself when it fetches the Terra Mia Immobiliare link, and with the large portals several hours often pass in between. For that reason, iCal cannot rule out a double booking completely.

If a Booking.com entry overlaps a booking made through Terra Mia Immobiliare, the system detects the overlap. Terra Mia Immobiliare is notified, and an open task appears in your owner area. Under the mediation terms, bookings from other sources must be blocked in the calendar within 24 hours. A connected calendar takes care of that as long as the connection works: Terra Mia Immobiliare picks up that portal's dates every three hours. What iCal transfers

The Terra Mia Immobiliare export link contains only periods: from when to when the property is booked. It contains no prices, names or guest contact details. From the Booking.com calendar, Terra Mia Immobiliare takes the booked periods and the title the portal gives each entry. iCal does not carry prices, so you keep managing prices and conditions for your property in Sicily on each platform yourself.
