Export your Airbnb calendar and sync it with Terra Mia Immobiliare via iCal

From Airbnb to Terra Mia Immobiliare: exporting the calendar link

This direction makes stays that guests book on Airbnb for your house in Sicily show up as booked in the Terra Mia Immobiliare calendar.

1. On Airbnb, open your calendar and select the property.
2. Under “Availability” → “Connect calendars,” copy the Airbnb calendar link. It ends in .ics.
3. In the Terra Mia Immobiliare owner area, open the listing and go to the Calendar step. In the “Calendar sync” section, choose “Add calendar,” paste the link into the “iCal URL (.ics)” field and select “Airbnb” under “Platform.”

The first sync runs shortly after you add the calendar. After that, Terra Mia Immobiliare reads it every three hours. Airbnb renames menu items from time to time, so treat the names above as a guide. Airbnb's help on calendar sync describes the current path.

From Terra Mia Immobiliare to Airbnb: importing the export link

In the other direction, Airbnb learns which days are booked through Terra Mia Immobiliare and which days you have blocked yourself, for example for your own stay in Sicily.

1. In the “Calendar sync” section, under “Share your availability calendar,” use “Copy” to copy your property's export link.
2. On Airbnb, under “Availability” → “Connect calendars,” import another calendar, paste the link and give it a name, such as “Terra Mia Immobiliare.”

If you later use “Regenerate address,” the old address stops working. You then enter the new address again on Airbnb and on every other portal that subscribed to the link.

One export link for all portals

The export link contains bookings made through Terra Mia Immobiliare and the dates you block in the calendar yourself. Dates that Terra Mia Immobiliare reads from Airbnb, Booking.com or any other portal are not passed on. That is why you can add the same link to every portal: no portal ever receives its own bookings back.

A booking made on Airbnb therefore appears in the Terra Mia Immobiliare calendar, but it does not reach Booking.com through this link. If you want Airbnb and Booking.com to update each other as well, connect those two portals directly: add each portal's calendar link to the other as an additional calendar, in both directions. What iCal transfers

Only periods are transferred: from when to when the property is booked. The export link contains no prices, names or guest contact details. From the Airbnb calendar, Terra Mia Immobiliare takes the booked periods and the title Airbnb gives each entry. iCal does not carry prices, so you keep managing prices, minimum stays and conditions on each platform yourself.

Why double bookings remain possible

Terra Mia Immobiliare reads connected calendars every three hours. Airbnb decides for itself when it fetches the Terra Mia Immobiliare link, and with the large portals several hours often pass in between. In that window, a guest on the other portal can book days that are already taken. For that reason, iCal cannot rule out a double booking completely.

If an Airbnb entry overlaps a booking made through Terra Mia Immobiliare, the system detects the overlap. Terra Mia Immobiliare is notified, and it appears as an open task in your owner area. Under the mediation terms, bookings from other sources must be blocked in the calendar within 24 hours. As long as the connection works, Terra Mia Immobiliare picks up the Airbnb dates every three hours. You block bookings from sources without a connection yourself, such as a stay you agreed directly with a guest.
