Your property on Sicily: six addresses instead of three, in time for the 2027 season
Dear clients, partners, and property owners,
Today I am giving you the date I owed you in May: the fourth quarter of 2026.
Yesterday this space was about the three property sale portals. Today it is about the part that concerns most of you: arranging bookings for vacation rentals on Sicily.
First the uncomfortable part. Not every one of you has had a booking through me. I know that. So this letter is not about what might be possible; it is about what is built, what goes online in the fourth quarter, and what you can hold me to.
What has happened since the May letter
Since 17 May, 793 changes have gone into the system. Every one of them passes more than 6,000 automated checks before it is published. That is why I would rather launch a quarter later than launch a site that presents your property incorrectly.
What has become visible so far is the sale side: nine addresses in three languages for Sicily, Calabria and Sardinia, all of them already online. The same machinery carries the vacation-rental side.
What goes online in the fourth quarter of 2026
Two things, together:
- Sicily Vacations is rebuilt from the ground up. ferienhaussizilien.de, sicily.vacations and casevacanzasicilia.it keep their addresses — everything behind them is new: the enquiry and booking system described in the May letter, a dedicated area where everything concerning your property comes together, and listings in three languages. The system runs in the test environment today; the switch makes it public.
- Sicily Holiday joins them. urlaub-auf-sizilien.de, sicily.holiday and vacanza-sicilia.it are nothing but redirects today. They become a travel site of their own: places, regions, experiences — and from there a path to your property.
Three addresses become six. The date has a purpose: in time for the 2027 booking season. Someone searching in January for the summer should find your property.
Why six addresses and not three
Because guests search in two different ways. Some are looking for a place to stay — they arrive at Sicily Vacations. Others are looking for the destination first: a region, a town, something to do. For them there will be Sicily Holiday, and from there the path leads to your property. Then there is language: each address has one of its own, and with it its own visibility in search engines. Your property is entered once and appears on all of them.
What you can do now
One request — and it is not the one you might expect.
You do not need to review your details. Prices, occupancy, amenities and photographs all pass through my hands during the switch anyway. I will come to you about them in good time, property by property.
What is worth more: tell me what the sites should be able to do. What have you been missing, what would take work off your hands, what are your guests waiting for? More bookings in the low season is already on the list — several of you have told me so. The sooner I know, the sooner it is in there. And it does not stop at the launch — these sites keep being built, season after season.
In May I asked for patience and named no date. Now it stands.
